I can't believe this was nearly three years ago. Was going through a box of old photos this past weekend and came upon this gem from 2003. This was one of my first commissioned shoots! A family friend wanted me to photograph his goddaughters in front of his super awesome rat rod. He was assisting in directing the shoot, which apparently was stone cold rock n roll. ;D Chicks with guitars! Fast cars! Rawk'n'roll!
Shot on 35mm film (and definitely lacking some fill light)
As painful as it was for me to browse through these, I can't help but feel good about the progress I've made.

Self
I read an inspiring post today, and it was really about nothing new. A talented photographer wrote an article about the fact that one can produce a great photograph despite the gear used. I have always heavily backed this concept, but lately I haven't done enough of it. This photographer had posted tons of street photography shot with her iPhone, and the results were terrific. So I decided to monkey-do and experimented with a self portrait. I did some light post-processing (added a tri-color soft filter) using my Photoshop app on my phone. What I was mainly focusing on was getting the right amount of light to bring out the expression in my eyes. I am happy with it ;D
